THE EUROPEAN COMMISSION,
Having regard to the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union,
Having regard to Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 22 September 2003 on genetically modified food and feed, and in particular Article 9(2) and Article 21(2) thereof,
Whereas:
(1) Bayer CropScience LP, based in the United States and represented in the Union by Bayer Agriculture B.V., based in Belgium, is the authorisation holder or co-holder of 35 authorisations for the placing on the market of products containing, consisting of or produced from certain genetically modified organisms under Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003. The respective authorisations were granted by Commission Implementing Decisions (EU) 2016/1216, (EU) 2016/1217, (EU) 2017/2453, (EU) 2018/1113, (EU) 2018/2045, (EU) 2018/2046, (EU) 2019/1308, (EU) 2019/1309, (EU) 2019/2083, (EU) 2020/1360, (EU) 2021/60, (EU) 2021/61, (EU) 2021/63, (EU) 2021/65, (EU) 2021/66, (EU) 2021/67, (EU) 2021/1385, (EU) 2021/1393, (EU) 2021/1394, (EU) 2022/798, (EU) 2023/416, (EU) 2023/1207, (EU) 2023/1208, (EU) 2023/1211, (EU) 2023/1212, (EU) 2023/1213, (EU) 2024/1828, (EU) 2024/2628, (EU) 2024/2629, (EU) 2025/692, (EU) 2025/694, (EU) 2025/1321, (EU) 2025/2541, (EU) 2025/2542 and (EU) 2025/2554.
(2) By letter of 19 January 2026, Bayer Agriculture B.V. informed the Commission that Bayer CropScience LP had converted its legal form and changed its name to Bayer CropScience LLC as of 1 January 2026.
(3) BASF Agricultural Solutions Seeds US LLC, based in the United States, represented in the Union by BASF SE, based in Germany, is the authorisation holder or co-holder of 19 authorisations for the placing on the market of products containing, consisting of or produced from certain genetically modified organisms under Regulation (EC) No 1829/2003. The respective authorisations were granted by Commission Decisions 2007/305/EC, 2007/306/EC, 2007/307/EC and Commission Implementing Decisions (EU) 2017/1208, (EU) 2017/2451, (EU) 2017/2453, (EU) 2019/1302, (EU) 2019/2081, (EU) 2019/2082, (EU) 2019/2084, (EU) 2021/1389, (EU) 2022/530, (EU) 2022/531, (EU) 2022/560, (EU) 2023/415, (EU) 2024/389, (EU) 2026/518, (EU) 2026/521, (EU) 2026/522.
(4) By letter of 24 April 2025, BASF Belgian Coordination Center Comm V, a branch of BASF SE, based in Belgium, informed the Commission that BASF Agricultural Solutions Seed US LLC changed its name to BASF Agricultural Solutions US LLC, with a new address in the United States, as of 30 September 2024.
(5) By letter of 23 January 2026, BASF Agricultural Solutions US LLC informed the Commission that it would change its legal representative in the Union from BASF SE to BASF Agricultural Solutions Belgium NV, with a new address in Belgium, as of 1 July 2026.
(6) The proposed amendments reflect the corporate changes of the authorisation holders Bayer CropScience LLC and BASF Agricultural Solutions US LLC in the respective authorisation decisions. They are purely administrative in nature and do not entail a new assessment of the products concerned.
