This communication concerns imports from Brazil, Thailand and other countries under quotas corresponding to order numbers 09.4253, 09.4255, 09.4257, 09.4258, 09.4259, 09.4263, 09.4264 and 09.4265 under Commission Regulation (EC) No 616/2007, as amended by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 1246/2012 for the quota period from 1 March to 30 June 2013. The purpose of this communication is to clarify the maximum amounts per application as determined in accordance with Article 4(5) of Regulation (EC) No 616/2007. According to Regulation (EC) No 616/2007, as amended by Regulation (EU) No 1246/2012, applications for import licences and import rights for the quota period from 1 March to 30 June 2013 shall be submitted in the first week of January 2013. Operators are hereby informed of the maximum amounts to be applied for the quotas corresponding to order numbers 09.4253, 09.4255, 09.4257, 09.4258, 09.4259, 09.4263, 09.4264 and 09.4265, in accordance with Regulation (EC) No 616/2007. When an operator lodges an application for any order number stated above, the competent authority of the Member State shall inform the operator that the application will be accepted only when respecting the relevant maximum amount laid down in Article 4(5) of Regulation (EC) No 616/2007.
