Following the Romanian regulatory authority’s final decision of 7 December 2015 regarding the certification of Compania Națională de Transport al Energiei Electrice Transelectrica — S.A. as Ownership Unbundled Transmission System Operator (Article 9 of the Electricity Directive), Romania has notified to the Commission the official approval and designation of this company as a Transmission System Operator operating in Romania, in accordance with Article 10 of the Electricity Directive.
